It’s Friday, Friday… I didn’t plan on getting down on Friday. Honestly, today was probably the greatest and worse Friday I’ve had in Italy. Last night’s nap was highly rejuvenating, but I still needed more beauty sleep tonight.
Today I went to work and stay there until about 7pm because I just had to watch the Italy vs Costa Rica World Cup games. Basically all I did today was nap and then wake up around 4am. But I’ll be heading back to sleep because tomorrow I have to go shopping for the first Men’s fashion week event I’ll be attending.
So as you’ve guessed, today I merely worked on yet another competitor mapping project and then took a nap. However, I will say I learned a lot about food I really didn’t know before.
Also, I decided to start working on the next chapter of my book. (That’s why I’ve been so absent from the blog)
My Day:
- Made it to work on time. BOW!
- Tried to put together a Powerpoint on competitor mapping. (WHY DIDN’T I JOIN THE BUSINESS SCHOOL!)
- I was about to leave work at a decent hour but decided to catch up with my coworker and ended up staying to watch the World Cup match.
- Got home, exhausted, and went right into my bed. Yes, with my work clothes ALL still on.
What I Learned Today:
- Italians are under the impression that American’s drink coffee with water in it (un caffe americano). That we eat our spaghetti with ketchup. And that we put french fries on our pizza. What in the world? Stereotyping is alive and well everybody.

- Delivery pizza is not a real thing. It’s not common to just call up the pizza shop, and they come deliver it. Yes, Italy does have delivery pizza, but in order for you to get it, you have to call at the right time, on the right day, and to the right place. Sigh… (No chinese food delivery either)

- Italy swore they were going to beat Costa Rica. So they played like crap. And after watching the game. I’m betting 10 bucks Balotelli punched someone..most likely one of his teammates.

- I don’t know how to dress for a rich and fancy fashion week boutique opening.

- .de, .it, etc. are all ways you connect to internet. You go to (google.it) the .it stands for Italy. the .de stands for Germany (Deutschland). Only in America is everything not labeled .us. Haha, everyone is out for a dollar.

Peace, Love, and Chicken Grease.
