They canceled the trip to the important news company, well, more like the news company canceled on us. However, I can now go to Florence without having to miss anything.

Today was just your typical work day. Work the 9-5, don’t move from your desk, stare at a computer for a solid…oh wait, look guys, I got an email! (Sings Blue’s Clues we just got a letter song) My professor/advisor on this internship trip has asked that we meet him tomorrow for dinner.

Well, seeing how I’m probably never going to turn down food in my life, of course I accepted. I mean, I’ll go see the Last Supper and then eat supper. Winning all around.

I concluded the night by watching Italy get that World Cup wurk against Uruguay.

I’m starting to catch that, I like staying in my house bug. You know, the one where you just stay in your house? Yeah, that one. Sorry if this post isn’t too eventful, but I’ve been changing focus a bit. (Money will do that to you)

My Day:

  • I went to work and came home.
  • Checked emails
  • Caught up with an old poetry coach of mine. It was great talking to you again Susan. 🙂
  • Watched Italy lose in the World Cup and heard the devastation of the Italians.

What I Learned Today:

  • People in Italy eat slower to savior their food. Their meals are big and sometimes longer than I’d like, but they are patient people when eating food. I need to learn their ways. image
  • My funds are starting to scream from within my pockets. I keep trying to tell myself to forget the currency conversion and enjoy spending. But when the things I buy “cheap” here start falling apart, I must question if it is really worth paying for the item at double the cost. I’m going to return to the US like… image
  • The rain has spoken. But thankfully I was in the house. It just sucks because I truly prepared for the SUNSHINE, not the doom clouds. image
  • Apparently, Americans say “gelato” weird. I realized this when my Italian friend mimicked my voice and laughed. Oh the language struggles. This actually made me laugh because now I know how my foreign friends feel when I mimic their accented english.image

So stylish and relaxed
